In the spring of 1998, Mark joined the Special Projects Division of MediaOne New England (now Comcast), and as a producer was responsible for the development and implementation of several major television and Internet initiatives, including the international broadcast of Harvard University’s special convocation in honor of His Excellency Nelson Mandela, President of the Republic of South Africa.

Mark E. Twohig   In 2000 Mark joined the Los Angeles-based Donroy Media Corporation (DRM) as a producer and editor, eventually becoming the company's Vice President. While with DRM, Mark oversaw the day-to-day business of a 15-member operation and was responsible for marketing and press campaigns aimed at bolstering the Donroy Media brand. Some DRM clients included Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar Animation Studios, Universal Studios, Starz, and ABC. Part of his duties at DRM was managing the operations of amihot.com (now hotornot.com). As Vice President and co-owner of amihot, Mark managed the re-engineering of the site, which led to a 400% growth in the subscriber base from 10,000 to over 400,000 members. As a result of the popularity of the site, Mark, working with CAA and Broadway Video, sold and produced a television pilot based on the web property for SpikeTV.

After leaving Donroy Media in 2003, Mark pursued a variety of producing, editing, and web development projects through work with networks and corporations such as The Learning Channel, The Travel Channel, The Spanish Béisbol Network, and Heinemann Publishing.

Mark left Los Angeles in 2006 and returned to the Greater Boston area. Having learned the "Hollywood" system, he set his sights on using that knowledge to pursue innovative contract work as well as to develop original content. In July of 2009, Mark finished work on a direct to DVD series for parents on how to support their child's academic success at home.

When Mark isn't attached to some piece of technology, he enjoys all things outdoors, writing quirky, if not downright farcical, posts on his blog, and can often be found at the Grog in Newburyport, MA where he revels in watching the Red Sox bludgeon their way into the playoffs.
